  1. While in the Creative Lab I was able to see a variety of projects in various stages of completion. I was able to see a pair of students working on the Punch House design software. What I was impressed with is that the students were able to make authentic real world connections by using a brick design that one of the student's parents had done at his own home. In addition I was able to see a great Zome tool project where the students designed a soccer stadium.

Brian Gonzales was observed modeling an exemplary flipped lesson. During his 1st period he had recorded his 12-15 minute direct teach then integrated this recording in the ensuing class periods. He went from teaching to facilitating his classroom experience that allowed his students to view the direct teach at their own pace, allowing them to rewind for better understanding. After viewing the lesson he then facilitated a guided practice activity that used notes that the students had taken while looking at the video.

Melissa Gonzales' class was observed practicing promos for their school yearbooks that they will later broadcast using Channel One.
